Cooper ("the App") is an AI-powered shopping assistant for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Cooper, we collect:

• Account information — your name, email address, and profile picture from Google Sign-In.
• Vehicle information — vehicle VIN, year, make, model, trim, engine, and any nickname you assign.
• Chat conversations — messages you send to Cooper and the responses you receive, stored to provide conversation history.
• Shopping preferences — interests, lifestyle signals, and preferences inferred from your conversations (e.g., clothing size, whether you have kids or pets) to personalize recommendations.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and maintain your account.
• To provide personalized product recommendations via eBay search.
• To generate AI shopping responses using Google Gemini.
• To remember your vehicles and preferences across sessions.
• To improve the relevance of your personalized feed.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party AI Service — Google Gemini

Cooper uses Google Gemini, a third-party AI service operated by Google LLC, to power personalized shopping recommendations and responses.

What data is sent to Google Gemini:

• Your shopping search queries and chat messages
• Profile signals inferred from your conversations (e.g., interests, sizes, household context)
• Recent conversation history within a session (to maintain context)

Why it is sent: To generate relevant, personalized product recommendations and natural-language shopping assistance.

Who receives it: Google LLC, operating the Gemini API. Data sent to Gemini is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Google Gemini API Terms of Service.

By using the Cooper app, you consent to your shopping queries and profile signals being processed by Google Gemini to generate responses. You will be asked to confirm this consent on first use.

4. Other Third-Party Services

Cooper also integrates with:

• Google Sign-In — for authentication. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• eBay Browse API — product search results are fetched from eBay. Product links may include eBay Partner Network affiliate tracking. Governed by eBay's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure in the United States. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls to protect your information.

6. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active.

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within the app: go to the Me tab → scroll to the bottom → tap Delete Account. This will immediately and permanently remove your account, profile, vehicles, conversations, and eBay connection from our servers. This action cannot be undone.

7. Children's Privacy

Cooper is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
